The 103-year-old Iraqi groom got married for the third time in the southern Iraqi province of Diwaniyah in the presence of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
According to Sky News Arabic, the Sumer region, about 180 km from the capital Baghdad, hosted the wedding of Makhlif Farhoud al-Mansouri in the presence of his relatives.
Abdul Salam, the groom’s son, said his father was born in 1919 and was getting married for the third time in his life.
“My father’s first wife died in 1999 and I was born in a second marriage to another woman,” he said.
“Late last year, we saw a dispute between my parents, and after that, the mother went to her family home and never returned. “So my father asked us to find a third wife for him.”
Abdul Salam stated that the third wife we chose for our father was born in 1985 and the engagement ceremony, Hanabandan and marriage took place.
According to Abdul Salam, the father’s nine other children and grandchildren also attended the wedding.
The Iraqi groom has 10 children, including six sons and four daughters.
