Adani Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate, headquartered in Ahmedabad. It was founded by Gautam Adani in 1988 as a commodity trading business, with the flagship company Adani Enterprises. The Group’s diverse businesses include port management, electric power generation, transmission, renewable energy, mining, airport operations, natural gas, food processing, and infrastructure. The group has an annual revenue of over US$35 billion net profit of $4.4 billion with operations at 80 locations in 55 countries. Adani Group has over 100,000 total employees directly and indirectly in the world.
In April 2021, Adani Group became the third Indian conglomerate to cross US$100 billion in market capitalization. It crossed the market capitalization of US$200 billion in April 2022 becoming the third Indian conglomerate after Tata Group and Reliance Industries to do so. As of September 2022, Adani Group’s market capitalization reached approximately US$255 billion, surpassing Reliance Industries, and Tata Group.
