Avatar 2 Smashes All Records. The box office haul for “Avatar: The Way of Water” keeps breaking records. The sci-fi drama reportedly made a record-breaking Rs 3,598 crore in just three days, according to trade reports. Both domestically and internationally, the box office take for Avatar 2 is off to an incredible start.
In India, the James Cameron film broke the all-time record set by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness by earning between Rs 131 and Rs 133 crore in its opening weekend.
Avatar: The Way of Water significantly outperformed Avengers Endgame in South India, according to Box Office India, earning about 7 crore net more than the highest-grossing Hollywood movie of all time.
The movie had the largest opening day number ever for a post-pandemic release.
Avatar – The Way Of Water has also replicated the success of Avatar, which was also much more popular in the South in 2009.
Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, claims that Way of Water had a fantastic first week at the box office around the world.
He noted: “North America’s first-weekend box office haul for #AvatarTheWayOfWater was $134 million.
$59 million from China.
The world as a Whole: $242 Million.
$435 million is the total.”
