An American sailor kisses a nurse in New York’s Times Square. Alfred Eisenshtett, a German-born photographer, captured this kiss on August 14, 1945, on “America’s Victory Day over Japan”. On that day in Times Square, the sailor would kiss every woman he met on the face. In this photo, the sailor is kissing a nurse, and Eisenstadt’s camera recorded it. This kiss is still repeated in Times Square by couples in love.
