Maulvi Noorullah Munir, acting head of the Taliban Ministry of Education, says the ministry plans to build standard religious schools in all provinces and even districts.
During his visit to Logar province today (Sunday, May 25), he emphasized religious education alongside “modern” education and said that students in many schools are still unaware of Islamic education.
Maulvi Noorullah said that the construction of religious schools in the provinces will begin in the coming days, and this will solve the problems in religious education.
He called the current curriculum of the Ministry of Education incomplete and added that serious steps will be taken to complete and standardize it.
It has previously been reported that the Taliban are making changes to the curriculum and are opposed to some topics. It was claimed that the Taliban government preferred to include the subject of jihad, hijab and some other issues in the curriculum.
