Though we know that Google pays a considerable amount to be the default search engine on Apple devices, this amount surpasses our expectations.
Google offered this because of its huge war with Microsoft and specifically the Bing search engine. But if the amount of users of Bing continues to rise then Google will give up on its dream and will allow Bing to be the default search engine on Apple devices.
According to annual studies, 90% of Apple devices prefer to use the pre-installed Safari browser. Overall, Apple has a lesser mobile device market share than Android. But due to Apple phone and tablet users always using Safari, 53% of the mobile web browser.

Furthermore, Google mentioned that Microsoft allowed Bing to be the default search engine on Windows devices, and other producers bundle their tools and apps with their Android installations.
