TikTok to Compete YouTube
Experts predict that TikTok will use landscape videos to try to compete with YouTube.
TikTok to Compete Youtube by launching Landscape videos feature
As reports show: TikTok is testing the Landscape videos feature. When a small group of users began receiving landscape videos on their TikTok feeds, news broke.
One of the most popular platforms for watching landscape videos right now is YouTube. TikTik’s attempt to enter the same category will give YouTube some fierce competition.
Although it is opportunistic, TikTok is taking a risk by making this jump because the platform has largely gotten its name and influence from short-form portrait videos. How its users will respond to landscape videos is currently unknown.
Although experts had predicted that TikTok will launch the landscape video system when the platform had launched the 20 mins long videos. at that time TikTok only allowed users to post 3 mins long videos
Paul Triolo, a tech expert at Albright Stonebridge Group consultancy, stated that TikTok has been encroaching on YouTube territory for some time with the longer version of 10-minute videos and consistently outranks YouTube among a younger demographic.
According to Mr. Triolo, “the intention here appears to be to appeal to a more sophisticated audience, the kind that uses YouTube for educational and informational videos, where a full-screen mode would be more desirable.”
Carolina Milanesi, the founder of the Heart of Tech consultancy, sounded incredibly upbeat about TikTok’s landscape trials. Shorts have significantly increased YouTube’s recent engagement, and she asserted that TikTok must be concerned that creators may start using YouTube for at least some of their content.
Although YouTube unquestionably dominates the landscape video format, TikTok has an advantage due to its younger audience.
