Danger of spoiling and leaking the story:
The year is 2154, and following the depletion of the earth’s natural resources, humans are facing a severe energy crisis. At this time the Office of Resource Development has discovered a valuable mineral in Pandora that can solve all the problems of the earth.
Pandora is one of the habitable moons of the star Alpha Centauri, which is covered with amazing rainforests. The air of this place is toxic to humans and its natives are humanoid creatures called Navis, they are about three meters tall, have happy blue skin and yellow eyes, and their lifestyle is in perfect harmony with nature and the mother goddess named Is Eva.
Scientists use human-navy hybrids called avatars to explore Pandora, and a number of avatars have been created for a number of scientists who can attach to a special device and explore Pandora at any time.
The film’s story begins with the aimless life of Jake Sally, a former Marine who retires after being paralyzed on both legs and has a depressed mood.
Jake receives the news of the death of his twin brother, who is a Pandora’s research scientist, and at the same time is offered to replace him in this mission due to the similarity of the gene.
Jake, who is looking for a purpose in life, accepts the offer and is sent to the research headquarters. In his first encounter with Jake, Dr. Grace Augustine (Avatar Research Director) did not consider him suitable for the job and objected to Selfridge (project manager) but disagreed with him.
When Jake’s avatar as a rifleman accompanies the avatars of Grace and his colleague Dr. Norm Spelman in the land of Pandora, he is attacked by a Pandora wild beast and escapes to the forest.
While Jake is completely unfamiliar with the environment and tries to survive, he is rescued by Netir, a Navy woman. Netiri takes him to his tribe after seeing a sacred and pure sign about Jake.
Long ago, Dr. Augustine was popular among the Navy as a teacher, but the relationship between humans and the Navy is strained. After talking to Jake and examining his physique and strong spirit, he asks his daughter to prepare Jake for life in the tribe.
On the other hand, Colonel Kovaric (Chief of Private Security Forces) asked Jake to approach the Navy and give him information about where he lives and the home tree that has the highest energy in the area, and in return he works for Jake. Be able to walk.
Dr. Augustine learns of this and moves with Jake and Norm to another research base in Pandora with the help of a flight officer named Trudeau Chacon.
During the next three months, Jake goes to his avatar repeatedly, learns the lifestyle, hunting style, language, and culture of the Navis with the help of a net, and after a while, he is officially accepted as a member of the tribe.
Netanyahu and Jake fall in love during this time and eventually mate. Jake sympathizes with the tribe, which is why he tries to stop them when humans approach the shrine with heavy vehicles.
After watching the video recorded by the cameras, Kovaric realizes that Jake has doubts about his mission and betrays them. He and his men go to Dr. Augustine’s laboratory and forcibly transfer them to the headquarters.
Kovaric looks at Jake’s daily recordings and tells him that he understands everything. Damage to Pandora’s native biological neural network has no effect on them.
Dr. Augustine talks to Selfridge again before the attack, and it takes an hour for him and Jake to persuade the Navy to evacuate.
After returning to the Navies, Jake confesses that he infiltrated them with the intention of spying on them, but over time his feelings changed to Pandora. Jake’s words upset Netiri and his people, and he and Dr. Augustine are taken prisoner.
The Quarich people destroy the large Homer tree by launching a full-scale attack, the Navies try to prevent it but fail, and many of them are killed, including Netiri’s father (chief of the tribe).
Death, who has a good feeling for Jake, frees him to save his people, but after a while, Kovarich’s forces take them out of the avatar and imprison them. The sailors take Grace’s unconscious avatar with them and Jake’s unconscious avatar stays in the woods.
Trudeau, who refuses to attack the Home Terry tree and is annoyed by Kovaric’s cruelty, escapes Dr. Augustine and Jake through a plan and transports them to a secret location by helicopter, but Dr. Augustine Escape is shot by Kovaric.
Jake tells Dr. Augustine that the Navy will treat him and then returns to his avatar body. In order to attract the attention and respect of the Navis, he tries to communicate with the mind of the Turk (a kind of great dragon that only five people have been able to ride in the history of the Navi) and to dominate him.
He rides to Turuk to the sanctuary of the Eva Tree, where all the survivors of the Navy are gathered. They respect him when they see Jake riding on a turkey, and Jake succeeds in gaining the trust of the new chief of the tribe and Netiri.
He asks people to help treat Dr. Augustine, and Death tries to connect the doctor’s soul to his avatar forever by connecting him and his avatar to the sacred tree, but he dies before the process is complete.
With the support of the new chief, Jake unites the tribe and tells them to seek help from other tribes to confront the people of heaven (earthlings). Before attacking Kovaric, he tries to contact the tree and its spirits and ask them for help in the victory of the Navies.
The full-scale battle begins, but the navies suffer heavy casualties despite much resistance, the new chief of the tribe and pilot Trudy lose their lives, and Netiri witnesses the last attempt of the navies, when suddenly everything changes.
Unexpectedly, all Pandora creatures stand in front of humans and try to protect Pandora’s nature, Netiri believes that Eva has answered Jake’s prayers.
During a daring operation, Jake blocks the bombs from hitting a tree and tries to stop Kovarich. In a clash between them, Kovarich’s plane eventually explodes, but he survives riding on an Iron Man.
Kovarich goes to the lab where Jake’s human body is and tries to cut the link between him and his avatar, but Jake’s avatar arrives. They fight for a while, and the moment Kovarich tries to kill Jake, Netir kills him with two arrows.
The bond between Jake and his avatar is severed and Jake is taken out of the chamber, but due to the broken glass of the laboratory, toxic air is everywhere and Jake is anesthetized due to lack of oxygen. Netiri finds Jake’s human body and saves his life by connecting oxygen.
Jake is chosen as the new leader by the dying tribal chief, who expels all but a few humans from Pandora, and during a ceremony his soul is completely transferred to his avatar body.
Movie analysis
Avatar is not just an exciting pastime (although it also meets the expectations of the viewer at this level) but also a turning point in the relationship between technology and the world of cinema that has been able to visualize the visual details of an imaginary and wonderful land in the most beautiful way. It may depict on the cinema screen.
In fact, James Cameron has combined an old-fashioned adventure with a new technology and created a large-scale work beyond imagination to convey his green and anti-war message to the world.
Amazing scenes from the mermaids floating in the air to the forests that hang in the air along with the special attention to the customs of the humanoid Navi are very remarkable, interesting for the avatar as well as the Lord of the Rings, the new Navi language Invented.
However, today, years after the release of Avatar, what remains in the minds of many viewers as an Avatar movie is its unique special effects, not the complexity of the story or any other special case.
In fact, the story does not have much to say and uses a clichéd theme, so that the events of the film are largely predictable, and it seems that everything we think happens, though not We can easily ignore the profound impact that is created on the side of this seemingly simple and clichéd story in the audience.
