According to the Mirror, Ronaldo has had several online meetings with Sir Alex Ferguson in recent days and talked to him about his future.
Fergie is said to have asked Ronaldo to stay with the club for at least another year to protect his legacy at Old Trafford.
Reports suggest that Ronaldo himself is not reluctant to stay, but everything will be clear after the meeting with the new head coach Eric Tanhach.
