Euromonitor, one of the world’s leading institutions in the field of market analysis, has ranked Dubai as the second in the list of top 10 tourist destinations in the world in 2021.
In the institute’s 2021 report, eight of the top 10 cities are European, and among the Asian cities, with the exception of Dubai, which ranked second, the city of “Tokyo” is ranked 15th.
In this report, the city of Paris is ranked first in terms of tourism performance and second in terms of tourism policy and infrastructure.
“Dubai” has managed to occupy the second place in this index after Paris. The city has opened its borders to international tourists since the beginning of July 2020 and is the only city from an emerging country that has managed to be in the top 10 of this report.
Dubai is also ranked number one in the world in terms of health and safety. High vaccination rates and strict safety measures in public places and tourist spots have increased the trust of visitors to this city.
The top ten cities in the report are: Paris, Dubai, Amsterdam, Madrid, Rome, Berlin, New York, London, Munich and Barcelona.
The Euromonitor Index of Top 100 Urban Destinations shows that 39 of the world’s top 100 cities are in continental Europe. 45 out of 100 cities in this report are emerging markets and 9 cities in emerging markets are among the top 50 cities in the report.
