Pakistani state television reported that members of the country’s new cabinet were sworn in as Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday.
The current government of Pakistan is formed in the form of a coalition of several united political parties known as the “Pakistan Democratic Movement”. More than a week ago, the Pakistani parliament elected a new prime minister, Shahbaz Sharif, to replace ousted Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The members of Pakistan’s new cabinet have not yet been announced.
Last week, parliament’s 70-year-old Shahbaz Sharif was ousted after former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan faced disbelief from members of the opposition in parliament and was finally forced to step down by a majority vote. And elected the third Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Imran Khan’s removal has sparked street protests and the mass resignation of his party’s representatives, prompting “incitement to justice” in parliament to protest the overthrow of the previous government.
