Famous American actress Brad Pitt has accused his ex-wife Angelina Jolie of deliberately damaging the reputation of the vineyard he has carefully created.
Brad Pitt claims that Angelina Jolie, who did not contribute to the success of the vineyard and their wine trade in Mirawal, deliberately sold her shares to an “alien with poisonous goals and relationships”.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie jointly purchased the vineyard in the Chateau Miraval resort in southeastern France in 2008, and married there six years later.
Brad Pitt claims that they agreed not to sell their share of the vineyard without the consent of the other party. However, Angelina Jolie recently sold her stake to a Russian alcoholic businessman.
Brad Pitt’s defense attorneys have filed a lawsuit alleging that Angelina Jolie sold her share to the Russian businessman in order to “harm him.”
Angelina Jolie has not yet commented.
Brad Pitt’s legal team has filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging that the vineyard turned into a multimillion-dollar wine business with Brad Pitt’s efforts, claiming that Angelina Jolie had no role in Miraval’s success.
According to them, Angelina Jolie secretly sold her share to an alcohol production center in Luxembourg, which is run by Russian billionaire Yuri Scheffler, and this is a conscious violation of her agreement with Brad Pitt.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have six children and divorced in 2016.
Angelina Jolie received permission to sell her share of the vineyard last September, but Brad Pitt says the condition for the sale was the buyer’s approval.
Brad Pitt’s lawyers say that Yuri Scheffler, who is also a kind of business rival to Mirawal Vineyard, is trying to sabotage, and destroy Brad Pitt’s personality and reputation with “ruthless business tactics and dubious business relationships”.
They claim that Angelina Jolie “sought to force Brad Pitt to partner with a stranger, and worse, someone with poisoned intentions and relationships.”
Brad Pitt is seeking a jury trial, compensation, and the cancellation of the Angelina Jolie stock sale contract.
This is not the first legal dispute between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and they have complained to each other many times in recent years and are involved in various cases.
