Bangladeshi police arrested a singer and social media star for his “loud” voice.
According to the report of the Indian publication “India Express”, “Hiro Alum”, a singer and star of social networks in Bangladesh, was arrested by the police.
Alum, 37, has garnered nearly two million followers on Facebook and nearly 1.5 million on YouTube with his unique style of singing songs.
The police wrote in their statement: “The reason for Alum’s arrest is his poor performance of classical songs and his hoarse voice.”
Hero Alum was released after apologizing, according to a statement from the Bangladeshi police.
One of her works, “Arabic Song”, in which she appears in traditional Arabic dress on a sand dune with camels in the background, has had almost 3 million views.
It should be mentioned that he has been humiliated by critics because of this video clip.
“Last week, the police arrested me at 6:00 a.m. and asked me why I was singing in a bad voice,” Alum told AFP about his arrest.
He went on to say: “I was mentally tortured by the police and asked to stop playing classical songs and sign an apology letter to be released.”
Alum says he has acted in several films and also contested the 2018 Bangladesh parliamentary elections as an independent candidate.
