The European Football Union (UEFA) has determined its position on the European Nations Cup becoming a new version of the World Cup.
The European Nations Cup is held every 4 years with the participation of 24 teams from the old continent.
There have been reports of an increase in Euro teams from 24 to 32 teams in 2028.
But “Sky Sports” confirmed in a report that UEFA has rejected the idea of increasing the number of teams in the European Nations Cup in the next period.
The current format of the Euro tournament, due to the 24-team tournament, allows the third team to participate in four groups, but in the 32-team format, only the first and second teams are allowed to advance. Of course, the total number of games for each team in the 32-team format is no different from the 24-team format, and in both formats, there will be seven games until the finals.
