The height of this building is twice as high as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and five times as high as the American Empire State Building
According to a report published by Mead magazine , the plan to build the tallest tower in the world with a height of two kilometers in an area of 18 kilometers in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, is being considered.
According to this report, “contractors who were involved in the construction of huge towers in the region have estimated the final cost of the structure of this tower to be around five billion dollars”.
According to this report, the height of this tower will be more than twice the height of the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and the tallest towers of the United States and the United Kingdom are almost not counted next to it. The height of this structure will be almost four times the height of One World Center and 20 times the height of the famous Big Ben building in London.
In a report , the Sun newspaper pointed out that the Council of Tall Buildings and City Habitat names buildings above 300 meters as super tall; While the building of more than 600 meters is called mega tall. While there are 173 super-tall buildings in the world, the number of super-tall buildings in the world is only four, namely Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai Tower and Clock Tower in Mecca.
According to this magazine, a design competition with a participation fee of one million dollars is considered for this tower. According to this report, eight famous companies have been invited to compete in this competition. Some of the world’s top architecture firms based in the US, France and Dubai were selected to compete against each other based on their previous projects in iconic structures and tall towers around the world.
The planned high-rise in Riyadh is just one of the impressive projects planned for the northern edge of the city, west of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
2030 International Airport
Saudi Arabia has other ambitious plans, including the international airport plan. The master plan for the development of the airport was unveiled on November 28, and if completed as planned in 2030, it will be named King Salman International Airport and will have the highest passenger capacity in the entire world.
Six parallel runways will be built in an area of about 57 square kilometers, which includes the current terminals of King Khalid International Airport.
The visual beauty of this project is to be completed with the two kilometer long tower.
The plans to build taller buildings in the country reflect Riyadh’s desire to implement the goals outlined in Vision 2030 through a number of very large projects.
Line- Neom
Another ambitious superproject of Saudi Arabia is Neom and Deline. The initial designs of the 170 km line structure in Tabuk province in northwestern Saudi Arabia are 500 meters high.
Other buildings such as two hotel towers near Aqaba Bay are expected to be 500 meters high.
