Ariana Grande and her husband Dalton Gomez opted to skip this year’s Met Gala again. The couple’s absence isn’t too surprising, given the singer hasn’t attended since 2018, and filming on Wicked starts next month in London. Grande has been very much in prep mode for her role as Glinda in the two-part film.
Grande was kind enough to give fans an update on her life though on her Instagram today, sharing a carousel of candid photos. Shots include Grande rehearsing music for Wicked, a selfie, and a couple dog shots for good measure. The photos all depict a very low-key life lived privately
Grande hasn’t really spoken about Gomez in any interviews, keeping their marriage and relationship largely private. The singer has generally kept a very low profile, skipping many industry events, including this year’s Grammys, where she was nominated.
Grande and Gomez got married in May 2021. A month after their wedding, a source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how tying the knot changed the way Grande approaches their relationship publicly.
“Ariana and Dalton felt like before they were married they couldn’t be as open about their relationship without it being scrutinized in the media and now they feel way more at ease,” the source said. “They have plans to travel more together and feel closer than ever.”
“Ariana is happy and feels very relaxed,” the source said of their newlywed life. “She feels like she is entering a new chapter of life and is excited to see where it goes.”
