The passengers of the Turkish flight from Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport to Istanbul were terrified after receiving pictures of the burned plane on their phones.
Sending these images delayed the Anatolian flight from the airport when the plane was ready to take off.
Israeli airport officials did not specify the number of passengers who received the image in a statement.
According to the news website WiNet, airport officials praised the pilot of the plane, which is owned by Anadolujet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airways, for its decision to return.
