Joker 2 and Reddit
Joker 2 and Reddit! What? Yes, There are top 10 theories on Reddit about Joker 2. The first teaser image for Joker: Folie à Deux has finally been revealed to the public, and it shows the Gotham villain getting his beard shaved at Arkham Asylum, where he was imprisoned at the conclusion of the first film. The plot of the sequel is still unknown, despite the fact that Harley Quinn will make an appearance and there will be musical themes.
Fans are left to speculate as to what the movie might be about. Some fans have developed a number of intriguing theories about the course that the events might take on Reddit. Nothing is off the table, from Batman showing up to battle his old enemy to the Joker having a child who is exactly like him.
Harley Quinn is a fantasy of The Joker.
Harley Quinn was the psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum before she rose to become one of the greatest Batman villains. As a result, according to Redditor halfsherlock, this is the Harley who will appear in the film, and “Arthur will form a pseudo-relationship with her that is presented in a “musical” aspect.”
The Joker first met Harley at Arkham Asylum in the DCAU over three decades ago, and at the end of the first film, he went to prison, making it one of the most plausible theories. Because of this, there’s a good chance he’ll have fantasies about her as she offers advice.
A time jump introduces Batman to the scene.
The Caped Crusader has always been an important part of the Joker’s story. Because of this, Spyro08642 thinks the movie might do “a bit of a time jump and introduce Batman.”
Bruce Wayne is only a young boy in the first film, so there must be a time jump. But since the Joker is currently behind bars, it’s one of the simpler schemes to execute. The villain only needs to spend close to two decades in prison for the scriptwriters to have Batman in charge of the city when he is free.
The Joker Gets a New Origin Story
Theoretically, there could be a new origin story, but “it’s all still from Joaquin Phoenix’s character POV,” says Redditor andrewwginzberg. This is because he made up most of what happened in the first movie.
In a reimagined version of events, Batman would likely be very active in Gotham City, and the Joker would quickly become the mastermind of the criminal underworld. Even better, the Joker could have a recast as Joe Chill, the perpetrator of the murder of Bruce Wayne’s parents. After all, Batman 89 follows a similar course.
The Joker’s Son Is Exactly Like Him
So we’re getting a Son of Joker movie, MySockHurts asks. They ask this specifically because “Folie à Deux” refers to a mental illness that affects two people, typically members of the same family.
It makes sense because Harley Quinn, who will appear in the film, is a part of it and there is a similar tale in the comics. The longtime partner of the Joker gives birth to their son in Old Lady Harley. After that, Joker Jr. grows up to hate his mother and resembles his dad. The Joker and Joker Jr. wreaking havoc in Gotham could thus be the main focus of the film.
The Joker is replaced by a New Character.
The Clown Prince of Crime may have to hand the torch to someone else if things get bad enough, according to The Cats Trailer Ruled. “The consequences of Joker’s decisions eventually lead to someone else taking on the mantle of the Joker,” they write.
Because Bruce Wayne is much younger than Phoenix’s Joker, it is more difficult to stage their rivalry. The Redditor’s theory would be ideal as it would allow for the introduction of a Joker who is younger than the universe’s Bruce Wayne. Watching the world around the Joker played by Phoenix fall apart wouldn’t come as a surprise because his life is a portrait as generally unlucky.
Plays Out A Rivalry With Another Joker
The Joker amasses a large following of worshipers who aspire to be like him by the end of the first film. As a result, AwfulMurray imagines a scenario in which “a second Joker emerges and gains more popularity, and the other is enemy with the other guy.”
The theory is similar to the prior one and is consistent with the “folie à deux” story as a whole. It would be entertaining to watch a battle between two Jokers, and despite his best efforts, Phoenix’s Joker eventually loses the battle, allowing a new Joker to take over. Preferably, that person would also be younger.
One Flew Over A Cuckoo’s Nest is Honored in This Film
DarthVaderIsMyWaifu feels the inspiration could come out of a movie by one of the best Joker actors, Jack Nicholson. They comment: “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest Arkham edition with Joker rallying the patients against the cruel overseer Professor Strange, and you’ve got gold!“
Using another director’s template isn’t a far-fetched theory because, in the first installment, director Todd Phillips paid homage to the Martin Scorsese movies King of Comedy and Taxi Driver. With the Joker now locked up in a mental institution, having him cause havoc in the same way that Jack Nicholson’s character did would be ideal. The introduction of Dr. Hugo Strange would also be a euphoric moment for fans.
Associated With The Dark Knight
Both The Joker and The Dark Knight are about to be believable, non-alien worlds without monsters or extraterrestrials.
In line with that, another commenter asserts that the unnamed Joker played by Heath Ledger “could have been the one who killed the Joker played by Phoenix.”
The Occurrences Are Inspired By “Mad Love”
According to JJLong5, the movie will be based on one of Batman: The Animated Series’ best Joker-focused episodes. The obvious thing would be an adaptation of “Mad Love,” they say.
The episode has pretty much everything fans would want from a Joker and Harley Quinn story, from aiding the Joker in escaping Arkham to trying to kill Commissioner Gordon. It would be a smart move to reuse a plot that has previously received such positive reviews, especially considering how much time has passed since the episode aired.
The Multiverse Exists
According to Silentlycold, there is a good chance that additional jokers will show up. “Joker in the Multiverse of Madness with cameos from Jack Nicholson and Jared Leto,” it says in the description.
Given that the world of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker is devoid of any supernatural or science-fictional elements, the craziest theory is also the least likely.
