The son of an Indian woman who was born as a result of rape helped her to sue her rapists after 30 years.
Thirty years after she was repeatedly raped by doubles, this woman now hopes to get her legal rights with the help of the son she gave birth to as a result of this rape.
According to the BBC, this woman, who lives in the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India, was raped by two men at the age of 12 over a period of six months.
The son of this rape who was given up for adoption but returned to his mother’s arms after 13 years, encouraged her to file a legal case against the rapists.
The police arrested one of them ten days ago and the second one was arrested last Wednesday.
This woman said: This incident is very old, but the injuries that were caused in my body have not yet healed, my life has reached a dead end, and I still remember that time again and again.
In India, thousands of cases of child sexual abuse are reported every year. In 2020, nearly 47,000 cases of child rape were recorded.
