On Sunday night, Elon Musk posted a poll on Twitter asking followers if they thought he should step down as CEO of Twitter. Musk declared that he would follow the poll’s findings.
By Sunday night, “Yes” was leading with a 58% to 42% margin.
Musk made a general threat about Twitter’s future if he is voted out in a series of subsequent tweets, indicating that he was serious about leaving the company.

Musk has moved from one controversy to the next since taking over as CEO of Twitter in late October after purchasing the company for $44 billion.
